Chapter 28. Welcoming the Guests

Kara replied with a cool smile. The twinkle in her eyes succeeded in lulling Frank into not moving from her.

"Kara, what magic have you actually given me?"

Kara opened her eyes wider. "Magic?" she sighed amusedly.

"Yes, you can make me happy just by looking at you."

"Then, should we cancel our previous agenda and lie here, staring at each other until we fall asleep?" Kara's laugh was crisp.

Gently, Frank stroked the beautiful face that always filled his mind. "I don't mind. As long as you are by my side, I feel complete."

Smiling, Kara slipped into Frank's arms. "Good. Keep feeling that way."

While rubbing Kara's back, Frank relished her citrus scent and warmth. "Yeah, nothing will change that."

Silently, Kara whispered two prayers. First, she hoped Frank could keep his word. Second, the mother-in-law could change and no longer caused problems.
