Chapter 40. The Fix Up
Alexus wondered. My mind was still strangely foggy after that night with Rafaella, despite the urgency of the work at hand. I had to think things through.
He laced his shoes and stepped outside the cottage. And he began to run alongside Timothy.
"Are you alright," Timothy questioned.
"Yes, I require some privacy while she is still asleep."
"Why? Are you two back together?"
"I hope so, but ladies can sometimes be difficult to grasp."
Timothy chuckled and shook his head in an upward and downward motion.
"I can say it's not solely to protect your wife. You've fallen in love with your wife once more."
He didn't dispute Timothy's assertion.
