Chapter 20

“Oh, I’m in so much trouble. Everyone’s looking for you.” The servant who had helped Ferro hide in her quarters panicked on seeing guards patrolling everywhere.

“If they don’t see me by midnight, it should be easy to leave. I’m sorry.”

“Sorry won’t cut it, you’re paying me extra for the stress.” The woman breathed heavily while looking out the window. She saw her boyfriend who was a guard coming by their place.

She bit her lips nervously and pulled Ferro to a far corner of the room, hiding him before her boyfriend opened the door. He met her all tensed up with perspiration all over her face.

“Are you okay?” He was worried. “An intruder is hiding around, I need you to stay safe, he may be dangerous.”

“There’s something I need to show you real quick…” She paused and swallowed. “Someone rather.” She corrected and went and pulled Ferro out from the corner where he had been hiding.
