Chapter 57
The bedside table was different. She blinked, rubbing her eyes and looking again, eyes wide open now. She confirmed it. The bedside table was different. The bed itself was different; higher actually. The walls were a different colour than what she remembered. She got out of bed and went to check the bathroom; it was the only thing that would confirm she wasn’t crazy.
She had left the night clothes she planned to wear to dinner last night in there when changing to the dress she wore now. She perked into the bathroom. It was bigger than the bathroom she remembered and the tiled walls were completely sea white.
She swallowed, running her hands through her hair after, a little panic setting in. She decided to sit back on the bed and take a deep breath. She had to rack her brain for memories. She was very sure she didn’t drink all that much yesterday to remember anything at all and how she ended up in a different hotel room.
