Chapter 60

Cole swallowed, looked around, and came closer to her before speaking. “I killed them.” He confessed and her eyes widened in shock.

“You’re joking,” She insinuated knowing damn well there was no smile on his face at the moment. “Why?!” She got mad at him.

“They were going to do awful things to you…”

“And how would you know that?”

Cole sighed. “They poisoned you with drugs. You weren’t drunk that night, you were poisoned. It’s what killed your reflex and inhibited you from basic things like shifting, or even knowing you were with me when I took you. You looked so lifeless that night, I almost thought I had lost you.” His voice got softer at that last sentence but he just heard her scoff and turned to the elevator that had arrived.

“For all I know, you were just jealous and couldn’t stand to see me getting along with them so you killed them.” She got into the elevator after saying, hands folded against her chest to hide her hardened nipples poking through
