“Tell me where he is...” Zayden almost called Zenee’ Mom,’ but he stopped himself right away as soon as he realized that he should not.

Zenee hugged him tightly, but he did not hug her back. “Okay... okay, I will tell you where he is and go with you, son...”

Zayden just nodded, walked out of the house again and into the garage, and Zenee just followed him.

Their whole car ride to the hospital where Kaillen was confined was the definition of deafening silence. Throughout the car ride, both of them were quiet. Zayden was focused on the road; his gaze was not even moving. Zenee wanted to talk... to explain everything to Zayden, but she decided not to as she felt like he still needed time and space, and she wanted to give her that.
