Chapter 7

Room #401. No Ashley and Kean. A middle-aged woman opened the door for Zayden. He immediately apologized for the disturbance he caused.

Room #402. It seemed like no one was currently checked in the room as no one opened the door for him.

Room #403. He knocked three times, and a grumpy older man opened the door.

“Who the fuck are you, and why are you disturbing someone who’s sleeping so soundly?!” The old man asked him. His voice was still kind of calm, but it was loud enough to produce some kind of an echo in the hotel’s hallway. 

“I’m really sorry... I... I think I got the wrong room number.” Thankfully, the grumpy old man just rolled his eyes at him and decided to go back inside and continue his sound sleep.

As he was about to ring the doorbell on room #404, the fourth room in the right hallway of the fourth floor, a security guard tasked to roam around the hotel floors to check for disturbances seemed to notice what he was doing.
