Laura’s POV
“Don’t give me that. What happened to you cheerful and lively person? Benita, come on. Talk to me, even if you are scared to open up to your mother about what is bothering you for fear of her reaction, you should be able to confide in me. You know you can always trust me.”
“It’s nothing, Aunt Laura. I am fine, just not feeling too good.” She managed to look at me and fake a smile but I could detect that forlorn look and plastic smile.
“Okay then, if you say so. But when you do change your mind and you want to talk, I am always open for an embrace and a chat.” I assured her.
