Chapter 100
Austin’s POV
It was pain, intense pain all over. I could scarcely remember what had happened. I had been driving after receiving Max’s emergency call about Galadimo’s men and I had not even taken chance to look properly when I turned the street with my car. It was not a fatal accident though, why then was I feeling so hurt? This is not good. Has Noella heard about it? I hope she hasn’t, she would be worried sick because of it.
I heard a soft voice whisper close to my ear; it was a familiar voice, my son’s voice. Noella had gone to pick Logan and attend the meeting with the teacher so if Logan was here now, she must be too. Or was I just imagining it?
I struggled to pull my lids apart and look at the ceiling. I was in a hospital, I knew that already. The acrid smell of antiseptic and disinfectant intertwined together made me dizzy and nauseous. Fucking cages, I cursed.
The pain was beginning to relieve me slowly and I could move my fingers and arm now.
