Leah’s POVAfter we all talked, Samantha went back to what she was doing. Karen resumes her work at the pack. I was about to return to my office when Karen called my name. I immediately turned to face her.

“Alpha, I want to remind you about this. I heard a big celebration for all of the Alpha in this world. It’s mandatory to go there.”

“Are you sure about that?”

Karen nodded at me.

“Yeah, that’s why I need to inform you so early. The Nightwalkers might be there.”

“I don’t care about them. And I wasn’t scared of them at all.”

“That’s good to hear. And I think you shouldn’t bring Almera with you since she is pregnant. She needs to take care of herself.”

I nodded. Karen was right all along. Almera might be in danger if she forced herself to go with me. I don’t want that to happen; I want to protect her, even if it cost my life.

“Yeah, thank you for reminding me of that. I forgot I couldn’t bring Almera with me since she was pregnant.”
