Chapter 112. Spit It Out

I got out of the car and headed for the front gate, leaving my mom behind. I could feel her eyes watching me, and I knew she was worried about me, but this was something that I needed to do.

My heart was racing when I reached the guards. I expected them to ask me questions or tell me that I couldn’t enter without permission, but they just opened the gate and I walked inside.

I headed to the front porch and before I could open the door, I closed my eyes and offered a short and breathy prayer to the goddess, praying that it was really her who had told me to come here, that I was not losing my mind.

Then I opened my eyes, opened the door and walked in. I wanted to head to Maddie’s room, but then I heard a few voices coming from the living room. One was the alpha, and the other was Giveon. Well, not the current alpha, it was his son.

Then the voices stopped, it was as if my presence was sensed. I should have walked away, I should have just gone straight to Maddie’s room
