Chapter 89. I Was Drunk
My heart was racing as if I was being chased by a wild animal, and my throat felt like a boulder was in it. My body was starting to shake as if I was naked in Antarctica.
“I don’t get it,” I replied, even though I knew that I did. I turned to him and I saw that his eyes were glossy, as if he was about to cry at any moment. “Were you locked out of your room?”
He sniffled dryly and a tear slipped out of his eye. He made no attempt to wipe it away. “I was drunk,” he replied in a shaky voice, more tears escaping his eyes. “You were asleep and I had come from partying with Kevin, the alpha, and Maddie. I was drunk, Sara. We came home at two in the morning and I made a mistake. I thought Maddie’s room was yours.”
