Chapter 97. Scared to Love

I held my breath as I waited for the person to walk in, still feeling like I was cemented to the floor. My heart was thundering in my chest and I felt nauseous.

Then I finally saw who it was. It was my mom. I let out my breath, breaking like a normal person again.

“Sara, what are you doing here?” She asked. Her eyes were red and bags were under them. Her hair was a mess and it looked like she had been crying for hours. “I—“
