Chapter 104. Bars

I ended up falling asleep with a heavy heart. But again, I didn’t have much of a choice. Tears stained my sleeping face and my stomach silently cried in silence as my mind was stayed unconscious.

I expected to have a dream or a vision that was going to be so special, maybe something from the Moon goddess, but that was not the case.

I dreamt about…cupcakes. Freaking cupcakes. 

When I woke up, I was so annoyed that even my wolf had not tried to reach out to me. Because you see, it’s easier when a person is asleep for his or her wolf to reach out. 

I sat up on the thin and dirty mattress, my body aching. I stood up and walked over to the bars of the cell. Across from me was a lady with ginger hair. 

She was staring at me, and I just knew she wanted to say something. Then she did, “Do you know that our new alpha attacked the witches?” 

Her question caused me to double back. My heart dropped and I tried to act as if I was not losing my min
