Chapter 37

Adam's POV

The only word that could describe the emotion I felt at that moment was “dread”. I had just returned from my meeting and was on my way up when I asked Laura if she had seen Valerie throughout the day but her reply had not been motivating so I decided to find out why she decided to stay in her room.

I walked to her door, the spare key in hand. I knocked, once, twice but there was no reply. I called her name severally but the silence from the other end was my only answer. I took matters into my own hands and opened the door.

Terror creeped up my neck as I walked through the door, the room was empty, I checked the bathroom, there were signs that I had been used but no one was in it, the wardrobe was empty. I scanned the room with my eyes. There was no form of struggle so what could have happened.

“Logan” I barked out watching as he ran into the room. I had put him in charge of Valerie's movement, so he better know where she is.
