I think I have avoided coming to these events for such a long time. I didn’t even think I would run into her. If there was anyone I expected to meet the most, it would have been Jesse Sanders. But lately, our relationship has been like we’re just colleagues trying to maintain camaraderie.
I thought about the red mark on the nape of her neck, which she didn’t even try to hide with enough makeup. Because anyone who knew Jesse Sanders knew that she was somewhat of a perfectionist. She loved doing things to make them stand out and excel in any project assigned to her.
She channeled her perfectionism not just into her work ethic but also into her personal life, dress sense, and makeup, ensuring they all aligned with the angle of a photographer’s camera. That was one of the things I liked about her, along with her determination.
But lately, it was starting to feel like all the things I used to like about her were beginning to irritate
