“Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you Sip & Savor, the most delectable and flavorful coffee shop in the city of Manhattan,” the boss announced, cutting a ribbon that had barricaded the building as Amelia showered him with confetti.
I clapped with delight, a wide grin spreading across my face, pleased that the boss had chosen the name I suggested and implemented my ideas. A warm feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment blossomed in my chest, and I could feel butterflies fluttering in my belly.
Carla smiled smugly, swinging the door wide open to reveal the refurbished interior. The walls were adorned with intricate floral wallpaper in muted tones of deep red, gold, and green. The ceiling boasted decorative plaster molding with elegant chandeliers hanging down. The furniture consisted of plush, velvet-upholstered chairs and antique wooden tables with floral carvings, all reflecting the aesthetic of the Victorian era.
