The car finally hit a stop after a long drive that seemed like we were on the outskirts of town and judging from the time we left the location of my apartment until now, I could tell it was an hour’s drive.
The ride was silent, there were no small conversations because apparently, Andrew Blake hated small talk while I also had nothing to say and probably will if I wasn’t too nervous about if I was getting this right.
I needed to remind myself that this was nothing serious. I had wished this day would come but right now, I wish I didn’t hope it would come too soon because as anyone could guess, I was a nervous trainwreck, constantly staring at my hands which I thought were too shaky to stay still.
How was I supposed to act? Talk? Walk? Heck, how was I even supposed to breathe? Okay, the last question was cut short when I felt long and firm hands gently clasp over mine in reassurance.
