Chapter 46. Finally Back Home

Today, I was finally allowed to go home. I changed into an olive shirt with black jeans while Ben was waiting for me outside. Pulling up on my shirt, I check the bandage around my waistline in the bathroom mirror and let out a shiver.

I walked out a few seconds later, and Ben was waiting there with the doctor. I thanked him once again and he asked me to strictly follow the given instructions and take my medicines on time. Ben holds my hand as we walk out together, and then he points towards the car where Jenny is waiting along with Max and Isabella. I smiled with tears in my eyes as I saw them holding “Get well soon cards” posters and cards. I walked over to hug all three of them one by one, and they asked me to open the door quickly as someone was waiting for me inside.
