Chapter 54. Moving on
That was our last meeting and the last conversation we had. After that, I put all of my energy into opening up my new bakery. Luckily enough, I found the perfect spot for it, and hopefully, I will have a good amount of visitors.
My new friends, along with Jenny, threw me a small opening party at home, and we had a lot of fun. But besides all these good things, my grandmother’s health is deteriorating. I have kept a caretaker for her, but she keeps on scolding the poor girl, insisting on doing every single thing on her own.
Trying to reason with her is of no value since she is so hellbent on letting her be. And even though it’s difficult to watch her like this, I have already started to prepare to say my goodbyes. Honestly, watching her in pain is much harder than the idea of not having her around. I know that she will be at peace wherever she goes later on.
