Chapter 51. Thee Farewell
“Sweetie, come and have your breakfast,” Lilith calls out to me from downstairs.
“Coming!” I yell back while looking at my puffy eyes in the long mirror.
I look terribly exhausted, which definitely won’t go unnoticed by Ben, and it still matters to me how I look in front of him. Ben’s father wanted to see if we were actually divorcing each other, so he sent a lawyer who would go with me to meet Ben in his office.
Talk about spreading drama.
Sighing at my reflection, I scowl at the pretty pink dress Lilith asked me to wear on purpose so that I can show I am happy without him. She thinks that he is a scum who is divorcing me because he grew tired of me. But alas, this pretty dress, makeup, and heels won’t be able to hide how much I was hurting at the moment.
Nothing can.

While waiting for this day, I did a number of things, like searching for a house in Sammamish. It’s a pretty popular area with lots of lake activities and outdoo
