Chapter 45. Miracles Are Real

The next day, I came to visit Scarlet, and the doctor reported that everything was still the same. There was no improvement, and she was still unconscious. And just like yesterday, I talked to her about our past memories. But this was much harder than it seemed, and it was crushing my heart to see her like this.
Jenny also paid her a visit, and then both of us decided to get some coffee.
“Scarlet’s grandmother was asking about her.” Jenny says, “I couldn’t muster up the courage to tell her the truth, so I just decided to lie, but I won’t be able to hold on much longer, Ben.”
“Hopefully, we won’t have to wait for that long,” I whisper while taking a sip of my coffee.
“I am praying for the same,” Jenny says.
And the next day I came again but there was no change. Today, instead of discussing the past, I decided to discuss the future~ the future that I wish to have with her.
