Chapter 57. What About the Promises We Made to Each Other?
The bar was not that filled since it wasn’t dark outside and mostly because it was lunchtime. I took out my phone just to check. What if maybe he tried to text me, and maybe my net wasn’t working or something? I tried to reload the chats, but it was still the same.
Frustrated, I switched off my phone and placed it inside my purse. Earlier, I would have drunk and tried to forget about it or face him in a drunk state because the alcohol in my system would make me more brave. But I am no longer that person.
