Chapter 56. No More Denial
I find myself staring at the washroom mirror, trying to make a decision- that’s when the door swings open, and I step inside Mrs. Farrington. Really? She had to come now?
I was waiting for a threatening comment, but it didn’t come. Instead, she walked over to my side and handed me a velvet box.

A little hesitantly, I pull open the lead only to see a ring, a simple yet alluring ring kept inside. I look up at her, and she lets out a long sigh. “Back when I was in college…there was someone I was madly in love with- but he was from a different social background than me.
