Chapter 27. A Beautiful Confession

The tests were done, but it would take twenty-four hours to prepare the reports. Gilbert wanted to collect the reports himself. 

“I will come over to your house tomorrow, Gilbert,” said Amanda threateningly. After she left, a dejected Gilbert walked towards his car. He didn’t know what to expect anymore. From what Amanda had said, it looked like the baby was his. 

Gilbert couldn’t look at Jacqueline out of guilt. He knew it was her decision if she wanted to stay and support him in this. He couldn’t force her to. Whatever the case, he was determined that he would never marry Amanda under any circumstances. He might offer her a lump sum amount to get rid of her, but never marry her. Once the press conference was released, she would realize that he wasn’t on the streets and do everything in her power to get him to marry her. He had to think of a way before the conference.
