Chapter 34. A Desperate Amanda Strikes
John wasn’t picking up his phone, and they all felt frustrated. After a few minutes, there was a call from the police station to inform them that John’s phone had been located. They conveyed the location to the officers, and they started tracking. Gilbert and Jacqueline too followed. They couldn’t stay back at all and watch, after all their kids’ lives were at risk.
The address led them into the park. “I can’t imagine what the kids were going through right now,” shuddered Jacqueline as they walked, all of them on high alert.
The park was nearly empty, with a few people resting on the seats where meetings were usually held. A group of teenagers sat with a man who excitedly explained to them about art and sculpture. Everyone looked up at them with interest as they traced every nook and corner to zero upon the location from where the mobile signals were emitted. It led them to the backside of the park. It was deserted, and the police found John’s mobile behind a tree.
