Chapter 53
I swiveled around to face him, fuming with wrath.
"Is there a-" I slapped his face, cutting short his ramblings. "Why did you do that?" In discomfort, he cupped his cheek.
"You talked too much, and then a mosquito landed on your face," I said. "I tried to kill it and shut you up simultaneously. One of those two endeavors succeeded.”
The shock on his face was palpable as he demanded, "What happened to you?!
I shrugged and said, "Nothing happened," before walking away.
He didn't try to stop me, and I knew he wouldn't try.
I can't explain why, but his presence irritated me. This is why I struck him.
I went back to my place of residence. Together, my aunt and I traveled back to Richmond.
My aunt unlocked the door before I could; she came out looking ready for battle.
"You're back," she greeted you.
"Yeah," I said with a grin.
