Chapter 9
I kept my cool as my gaze followed the curve of his body from his tummy to his face.
Smiling, he said, "Is there something wrong, Dr. Richards?"
"No, I was just wondering how you could maintain that figure while working as a medical doctor," I said truthfully as I accepted the coat and scrubs. "That's weird. I, like the majority of other doctors, rarely have time off. When we do, it's typically for a nap. To imagine you'd abuse your position to avoid duty."
He had a pleasant aroma. It wasn't like those other dudes who seemed to attract some sort of strange odor. His scent was... robust, male. My dizziness increased, so I resisted the need to sniff his neck.
"I'm honored that you thought about that," he said with a smirk, "But I make sure I put in at least thirty workout minutes daily. I don't take advantage of my position to avoid work.
