Lila’s POV
My path almost led me directly into a solid wall as I turned to leave or should I say a solid Caleb.
His eyes widened in what I assumed was concern.
“ Whoa, Lila! You okay?” He said and smiled awkwardly.

“Yes, Caleb I am doing well. Just a little bit busy.”
I was hit by a flood of unwanted memories as he took a step closer. Reminiscences of his effortless charm, his laughter and then—the piercing pain of betrayal upon seeing and Madison.
His tone softened and he added a fake worry that made my teeth itch.
“How are you feeling now? You fainted on Saturday.”
I nodded. “I’m feeling better now. Thank you.”
“You were at the rink.”
