Lila’s POV

The school lunchroom was noisy with bright lights buzzing above. Leah and I got a good table by the window so we could watch people. I was laughing because of what Leah had said happened last Thanksgiving in Blackridge and as I tried to chew on my hamburger. I felt something wet descend on me.
