Chapter 55. A Time Like You

Lila’s POV

So, like, my skin was still kinda warm.

But it wasn’t just the sun, it was because of him, his body pressed against mine.

His lips on mine and his hands on my waist, touching and teasing my body and the way he held me,

It was like I could break any second.

His touch was warm and gentle and loving, something I didn’t want to end . Ever.

He just had that touch. You know, the kind, Where everything else just disappears. Gone. Like, the pain, the fear, even that annoying voice in my head. They all just vanished.

We just stayed all tangled up for a while, letting the sun do its thing, drying us. And his fingers? He was drawing these soft lines on my arm, like he was trying to remember what it felt like.

And then after a while of lying there and looking at a fat cloud the shape of a teddy bear, he whispers in my ear. “Come with me. I wanna show you something.”
