Chapter 66. Bleed For Me

Lila’s POV

Ryder was bleeding.

And not just a little. Heavily and it was so bad, so bad it almost made me want to cry.

He managed to get up, the figure was already gone like it wasn’t there in the first place. Ryder stumbled forward, swaying almost, his face twisted in deep pain and when I tried to help him he refused and kept walking in front of me, like I was the one who got an arrow in the shoulder.

It was insane. He was the one leaking all over the forest floor.

“Ryder—wait—” I said.

“I’m fine.”

But he wasn’t. The color was just gone from his face. And his shirt was stuck to his side, all wet and dark, and not with sweat. Every couple of steps, it kind of made him flinch and it made my heart skip a beat. I felt it was my fault, that I should have stayed back at school and I was the one who had brought this problem on him

If only I hadn’t come here. This couldn’t have happened and I was crying quietly as
