Lila’s POV
I didn’t go to any more classes or rehearsals, it was too painful to sit down and listen to endless lectures, too painful to walk around like nothing happened, like Ryder didn’t just smile at Salome like he was going to kiss her. Just this time, this one time that I was happy that no one was saying shit behind my back and BOOM, this happens.
And for lunch. I skipped it.
Breathing was even more difficult and only when my body forced me to.
I was just here, like a ragged doll nobody wants, sitting in the library. Same back corner which smells like dust and decayed ambition.
