Chapter 50. Pretense
HAZEL’S POV
“Hey,” Ervin whispered in my ears when we were cuddling that night. After the whole eventful night, we finally retired to our chambers.
“Go to bed, Ervin,” I whispered. I was genuinely exhausted. I just wanted to go to bed.
“I can’t,” Ervin whispered again.
“Why?” I asked looking at him over my shoulder. I was genuinely concerned.
His lips parted like he wanted to say something but then he paused and his eyes strayed down to where our lower bodies were connected during our cuddle. That was when I felt his hardness.
I stilled.
“Hazel.” He whispered again, his voice groggier than ever.
Whatever exhaustion and tiredness I was feeling minutes ago had disappeared and now I was getting needy.
“What’s the matter, Ervin?” I asked pretending not to understand what message he tried to convey.
He caught on to my pretentious act and growled lowly.
