Chapter 10
“What would you like, sir?” The bartender asked with a rather wide smile on his face.
Keith glanced at the entrance of the bar, wondering if it wasn’t too late to dash out. He rarely mingled with the mortals. He made it a point not a century ago. They were a bloody lot who didn’t appreciate whatever help you gave them. He had done his best to make sure Ares hadn’t gotten the upper hand in the 1900s and used their tiny little brains like flies, yet many wars still occurred. He barely recalled those times anyways. When he had seen that the mortals were as bloodthirsty as Ares himself, he’d chosen a small island somewhere far away and slept for twenty good years. That had been so damn good. No worries, no problems, well, until Hera made the island sink, and he had to move back into the world of men.
Hera!
He thought angrily and turned to look at the bartender. There was no use running off. He’d drink himself to oblivion until he could no longer think about Hera’s spaw
