“When will you apologize?” Aria asked, and Cassandra stopped pacing up and down the room to glare at her friend through the phone screen.
“Apologize for what exactly? For asking for my money back?”
Aria pressed her lips in a tight line giving Cassie a look any mother would give a petulant child. “Cassie-”
“I won’t be apologizing, thank you very much. If anything, he should be the one apologizing! He called me narrow-minded and an animal!” She yelled, her feet carrying her to and fro.
“I doubt you were a sweetheart to him either,” Aria remarked.
“Aria!” Cassie scoffed. “You’re being unfair. I spent my life savings on that medicine, and you know it!”
“I know that. But it’s your one chance to get rid of your insomnia. Your one chance to sleep, Cassie. I’d have thought you would drop your pride for once and let this work,” Aria chastised.
