Chapter 11
“Thanatos says you have a new femme fatale in your home,” Nyx said, a strand of her hair reaching for a brandy on the bartender’s shelf. Keith watched her pour him a drink.
Ah, crap. He should have known he was going to run his mouth to their mother. Not an ounce of maturity existed in that fool’s body.
“Thanatos is an idiot,” Keith grumbled. But perhaps they weren’t far off. Cassandra did qualify as a femme fatale. If he was a mortal, she would have led him to his doom quite alright. Now that he thought about it, he doubted she had existed for twenty-five years without any man approaching her. Just how many men had she dragged off to death?
“Well, he is an idiot most of the time, but that does not make him a liar,” Nyx replied, fixing Keith a glare that he felt down to his bones.
It was hard not to be in terror when there was darkness personified sitting a few meters away from you. Nyx was the goddess of the night, and with night came quite a lot of terrors.
