“I was distracted, Maria,” Asher said, his eyes traveling down her body slowly.

“Was it a girl?” He could hear the laughter in her voice. “Did she break your heart?”

“I don’t know.” He whispers. “But, I don’t think it’s broken yet.”

Her face looked flushed, and he knew that she wanted this the same way he did. It had been a long time coming.
