Chapter 30
It was past noon, and all Aria could think of was the shopping date she had with Eros when she closed from work in the next five hours. She didn’t know why she had agreed to what he suggested, but at the same time, she found herself looking forward to it. Picturing herself being romantically involved with someone like Asher was kind of hilarious, but Eros seemed determined to make it happen, and she couldn’t refuse. The look on his face when he failed would be comedy-worthy, and she couldn’t wait to see it.
“What’s making you smile, Aria?” Tracey said as she stopped in front of her desk, jolting Aria out of my reverie.
Aria blinked severally, trying to register what Tracey had just said.
“What?”
“I asked what have you smiling in the middle of work, or is it about a man? Most times, it usually is.”
“Come off it, Tracey,” Aria chuckled. “You know better than to think I’m romantically involved with anyone at the moment. It doesn’t work that way.”
