Chapter 22
NATASHA’S POV
“You shouldn't have burst out like that, you scared the mountain man away,” I told the kids. He had not even bid me goodbye before walking away hurriedly.
I guess he was scared of children but that was not nice. There should not be anyone scared of children, Mountain Man was different anyway.
I didn't know what it was but I knew he was different, there was this energy around him that differentiated him.
They all looked at me warily, wondering why I was scolding them. I was enjoying my time with him, I could see the real person behind his hard mask.
“We didn't ask him to run, duh,” Fanny said, making a face.
Fanny has always been the frank one, she wouldn't sugar coat her words for any reason. There were times it was annoying but I just had to embrace her.
I gave her a disapproving look before crouching to her length. “He is a very shy man,” I explained to her much to her amusement.
