Chapter 57

Hephaestus POV

"Nat," I called Natasha who was already on her way to the hospital. I parked the car close to her. She turned sharply.

She didn't move after I called her. Instead she stood watching something I couldn't tell. She looked like someone who was searching for something.

"What's wrong?" I asked when she didn't make an attempt to come in.

"Oh," she jolted. She got in the truck. "Let's go," she added when I didn't move.

"Are you sure?" I couldn't help but ask. The look she had showed she was really worried.

She had been having that look lately. It really bothers me to see her that way.

That was the last thing I wanted for her.

"Sure," She said. I shrugged before starting the ride.

She looked outside the window. She seemed lost. She definitely had a lot going through her mind.

I fought and had to look away from her but I cou
