Red groaned as she began to regain consciousness. Her head felt heavy, and her breathing was heavy—something was blocking her head. As Red touched her head, she realized she was wearing a helmet.

A repeated announcement echoed, "All pilots stand by. All ships will be ready to launch in 3 minutes," bringing her fully awake. Red was startled to find herself inside an aircraft with the control panel in front of her. Looking behind her, she noticed a co-pilot sitting there.

She couldn't see who was behind her because of the helmet. Red immediately tapped on the partition between them.

"Hey! Wake up!" Red yelled.

A groan came through the comms and Red instantly recognized the voice.

"Jonah?"

The co-pilot lifted his head. "Red?"

"I didn't expect it to be you. Thank goodness," Red said, though deep inside she was starting to worry about Kit. Where was Kit now? Who was she with? Red's mind was restless.
