Chapter 144. The Aftermath After Heartbreak
"Well, shit happens," Fiona muttered.
Fiona's expression showed that she was angry. She felt sorry for Red and what she was going through, but she tried to keep it in. If Fiona let her anger out, she'd probably track down Aamon and blow his head off.
Fiona believed that Aamon was sincere when he trained Red. But since he had a "problem" to deal with, he just walked away. In Fiona's mind, it was a good thing that Red hadn't gotten too involved.
Still, Fiona knew that Red was devastated.
"We will continue to train, even without Aamon or Anneth's help," Fiona added. "There's nothing to worry about."
Red nodded weakly. "Yes, we need to focus on the Guild and the Alliance."
"Seeing Aamon's behavior, are you sure Jonah won't do the same?" Fiona asked, keeping her eyes on Red. "I just don't want him to turn on us after we've built the alliance, Red."
"Don't compare Jonah to Aamon."
"All right... I just want us to be careful, that's all," Fion
