Chapter 148. Aelea's Rise, Aegea's Fear

After the Galaxy War simulation game ended, the Sponsor Progress Board changed a few days later. Aelea became one of the sponsor candidates, along with fifteen others whose names were already listed there. There were still fifteen slots available, waiting to be selected by the AI.

"Are you interested in becoming a candidate like your sister?" Fiona teased.

"No, absolutely not," Red shook his head.

Looking at the board, Red began to worry, as Aelea would now attract the attention of the AIs. Red feared that the AIs would go after Jeremiah Harts' secret device, believing it to be with Aelea.

But Red couldn't tell her sister, because if Sethi found out, who knows what the metaphysics would do. Red's thoughts became more and more messy.

"You're worried about Aelea, aren't you?" Fiona asked, as if she understood what Red was thinking.

Red gave a weak nod. "I don't want anything to happen to her, Fiona."

"But she looks happy about it."
