"Red? We're here."

Aamon's voice woke Red from a short nap, and the girl opened her eyes. They had arrived on the cabin's porch, where Red was still in Aamon's arms. Awkwardly, Red sat up and then cleared her throat quietly. She looked up at Aamon with half-asleep eyes.

"Thank you. Sorry, I really fell asleep," Red said.

"Get changed and rest."

"I need to see Kit's condition."

"Kyra took her to the hospital. Kit will have to stay there for a few days. She'll be discharged when she's recovered." Then Aamon tied Red's hair behind her ear. "Think about your health; you shouldn't overdo it. Okay?"

"Tomorrow at nine, I'll be waiting at the North Star. How about it?"
