Elijah slowly opened his eyes. Then the state appeared before his eyes, along with a voice that seemed to echo in his ears.

Elijah groaned softly, feeling the sharp pain and throbbing that ached his joints. His fingers touched the smooth linen surface, his body no longer feeling wet. Instead, he was covered in a thin but warm blanket.

"I'm alive," Elijah whispered hoarsely.
