Emery’s POV

The loud ringing of my phone woke me up while I was resting. It’s already 6 in the evening and I immediately sat on the bed after seeing the name registered on the screen of my cell phone. It’s my best friend Georgina. I bet she heard what happened in my mom’s company.

“Hello, George.”

[Em, meet me in the Red at 7PM sharp. You better not stand me up, darling.]

I shot an eyebrow up. “Hunk hunting went wrong?”

[My best friend’s perfect life went really, really wrong. Why did I see an article saying that Ethan fucking Craig is the new CEO of your company? Kindly enlighten me please because I’m really confused as hell right now.]

I took a deep breath and stared at my own reflection in the mirror. She didn’t hear about my accident today. I’m relieved no one published an article about it. Must be Terrence’s doing.
