Chapter 53. Taking the Risk

Emery’s POV

I was sure the car would hit me painfully but I couldn’t move my body and all I could do was stare at the wreck car. However, a loud and familiar voice echoed in my ear along with a strong pull by my waist. I slammed on a hard chest and smelled a familiar scent, followed by a rough curse.

Shocked, I lifted my face only to see Terrence’s eyes with a hint of violence.

“Are you okay?” His jaws even clenched as he asked.

I swallowed hard and nodded before I slightly pushed him away. I was still shocked by what happened and what would’ve happened if he didn’t come on time to save me.
