So I went for it; straight for it. “Dad, I’m a vampire.” I watched his face, trying to decipher the expression on his face.
But nothing changed. He stared at me as if I had not said anything; almost as if he was waiting for me to say the actual thing that I had told him that I wanted to tell him.
“Oh, wait, you’re being serious?” He asked when he noticed that I was not saying anything else and did not burst out in laughter. “Lisa, what’s that supposed to even mean?” He scoffed faintly.
