Josh was taken aback, his eyes widened in surprise, and he leaned forward, staring at me as if he had not heard me correctly. “You want me to what?” 

I breathed out a slow sigh. “I want you to turn my father into a vampire,” I repeated, my voice steady despite the heaviness of the situation. I glanced at my dad, who gave me a small nervous nod. 

I knew that his nerves were going crazy, but he was ready. 

Josh rubbed his temples, clearly trying to process this. “Do you have any idea what that entails? It’s not just a decision you can make lightly. Turning someone into a vampire changes everything—for both of you.” 

“I know,” I replied firmly. “But it’s what we have decided.”
